Best Friend Cynthia was a 9 inch tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed fashion doll from 1972.  She 
came dressed in a pink dress, white painties and white high-heels.  The back of her head was 
marked 1971.


Cynthia was Mattel's alternative to pull-string talkers.  Just poke a 2-inch record in her 
side (similar to the Mattel-O-Phone), push the button and listen to her chatter away about 
subjects like Indoor Activities, Outdoor Activities and General Topics.


Cynthia is a pretty hard find, especially in working order with clean records.  Having said
that, you can usually still snatch one off of an auction or sales site for under $50.
