Sticker Tip Sheet

Surface preparation is essential to a long lasting sticker application. Take a cotton swab or ball dabbed with a little rubbing alcohol and wipe clean the area of application. Allow to dry and remove any cotton strand residue with tweezers. The biggest enemy to successful application is the oil from your hands! If possible wear rubber gloves, if not, at least very clean, dry hands. Avoid touching the sticky side of the decal as well as the prepped surface.

Cutting can be accomplished with scissors, or with an exacto knife. It is best to cut along the outside of the guidelines, and check for fit to your particular piece. Trim if necessary; peel off the backing and apply. Used the exposed (shiny side) backing to rub out any bubbles or creases. Do this by rubbing firmly over the entire area of the sticker to insure proper adhesion. Do not use bare fingers-you risk damaging the label! The exacto knife is your best bet, and if you have a compass cutter that will make cutting the circles much cleaner. But if you don’t have either of these tools, scissors will work just fine. When cutting the hub circles for the Unitred: fold the circle in half-but try not to crease-and cut a half circle in the center. This will release the center piece, then repeat the process for the outer lines and you’ll have the circle ring you need for your hubs!
